The Developmental Disabilities Research Group (DDRG)
The Developmental Disabilities Research Group (DDRG) is a multidisciplinary discussion group at the School of Medicine of the University of Colorado, which is focused on strengthening research collaborations within the field of autism and other developmental disabilities. Affiliated with the Developmental Psychobiology Research Group (DPRG) and the Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (LEND) Program at JFK Partners, participants are faculty and fellows from several different Colorado institutions (e.g., UC-Denver, University of Denver, Colorado State University). Our meetings are held on the dates and times listed below.
During each DDRG session, a faculty or fellow serves as the discussion leader and delivers a presentation on a particular project or idea that generates discussion from the group. In addition to these "topic-specific" presentations, we also offer sessions that provide an overview of specific research-oriented skills, such as grant-writing, drafting IRB proposals, and supporting persons with disabilities in research evaluations. Faculty and students are welcome to participate in any or all sessions. LEND Fellows at JFK Partners are required to participate in the discussions and to present their work to the group, and the opportunity to hear from more experienced investigators is highly valued by our students.
Schedule for 2011-12 academic year:
All meetings are from 8:30-10:00 a.m. Spring 2012 sessions will be held at the Anschutz Medical Campus, Ed2S 1307.
